Live snooker on TV ramps up this week as the UK Championship draws towards a potential blockbuster weekend of clashes in York.

Reigning champion Mark Allen is out of the tournament after losing the opening encounter of the tournament, while in-form star Judd Trump – who won three ranking tournaments in October alone – remains the man to beat.

World No.1 Ronnie O'Sullivan is involved at the Barbican this week despite a series of withdrawals from UK-based tournaments in 2023 so far.

Snooker fans are usually treated to plenty of extensive coverage throughout the year with the BBC holding the rights to the World Snooker Championship, the UK Championship and The Masters.

ITV also boasts free-to-air rights in the shape of the Tour Championship, Players Championship, British Open and more, while Eurosport boasts widespread snooker rights for the majority of tournaments every year.
