Kind Hearts and Coronets - 4:35pm, Film4
Classic Ealing comedy starring Dennis Price, Alec Guinness and Joan Greenwood. Louis Mazzini is whiling away the eve of his execution by working on his memoirs. Born the distant heir to a dukedom, he recalls his vow to avenge his wronged mother by planning the murder of all the members of her noble family who stood between him and the title he covets. Run Silent Run Deep - 5:20pm, Great Action
Second World War drama starring Burt Lancaster as Lieutenant Jim Bledsoe, who expects to take charge of the submarine Nerka. But the job is given to Commander Richardson (Clark Gable), who doesn't exactly instil confidence in the crew as his last submarine was sunk by the Japanese. Read our full review
Mary Queen of Scots - 11:05pm, BBC Two
Historical drama starring Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie. In 1561, young Catholic queen Mary returns to Scotland to reclaim her throne, which threatens the status of her cousin, Elizabeth, the Protestant queen of England. When Elizabeth attempts to intervene by sending English suitors up to Scotland, her plans backfire, and an increasingly vicious power struggle commences. Read our full review
Sleepy Hollow - 12:10am, Channel 4
Gothic horror fantasy starring Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci. Unorthodox detective Ichabod Crane is sent to the village of Sleepy Hollow following a series of decapitations. However, his investigation is hampered by the locals' belief that the murders are being committed by the ghost of a headless horseman, and by his growing infatuation with the beautiful Katrina Van Tassel. Passport to Pimlico - 1:45pm, BBC Two
Ealing comedy starring Stanley Holloway and Margaret Rutherford. When the residents of a small area of London discover that it is historically part of Burgundy in France, new borders are drawn up and a government is formed. Read our full review

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - 5:20pm, ITV1
The sixth in the blockbuster fantasy adventure series, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. The ruthless Death Eaters announce the return of their master, Lord Voldemort, with a series of attacks on London. As disaster looms, Professor Dumbledore brings former tutor Horace Slughorn back to Hogwarts so that young wizard Harry Potter can learn from him the secrets of Voldemort's power. Romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. A young woman working on the Chicago subway saves the life of a handsome commuter and masquerades as his girlfriend while he lies in a coma. A boy growing up in 1940s Brooklyn finds an escape from his daily grind in the glamorous world presented on the radio. Black comedy thriller from the Coen brothers, starring Frances McDormand, William H Macy, Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare. Car salesman Jerry Lundegaard arranges to have his wife kidnapped in order to extort some money from his wealthy father-in-law. Crime drama based on the true story of the infamous Christie murders, starring Richard Attenborough, Judy Geeson and John Hurt. The young married couple who become John Christie's new neighbours in Rillington Place are impressed by his apparent medical knowledge. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance - 4:30pm, Film4
Western starring James Stewart and John Wayne, and featuring Lee Marvin. In 1910, a US senator and his wife return, unannounced, to the frontier town of Shinbone to attend the funeral of an obscure rancher. A local reporter takes an interest in their arrival, and the senator then begins to tell the story of Shinbone's wild days, when gunman Liberty Valance terrorised the town. Read our full review
Just Mercy - 10:40pm, BBC One
Drama based on a true story, starring Michael B Jordan, Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson. In 1989 Alabama, young lawyer Bryan Stevenson and his legal partner Eva Ansley become involved in the case of a man on death row, Walter McMillian, who claims to have been wrongfully convicted. Wartime drama based on a true story, starring August Diehl and Valerie Pachner. Rural Austrian farmer Franz Jägerstätter struggles with his moral principles when he is drafted into the army during the Second World War. Double Indemnity - 8:15pm, BBC Four
Classic film noir, starring Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray and Edward G Robinson. Insurance salesman Walter Neff meets Phyllis Dietrichson, the wife of one of his clients, and is instantly drawn to her. It isn't long before she's pulled Neff into a shocking plot to murder her husband, claim his life cover and live happily ever after - but Neff's boss soon smells a rat. Read our full review

The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp - 11pm, BBC Four
Classic period drama starring Roger Livesey, Deborah Kerr and Anton Walbrook. Clive Candy VC is the quintessential English gentleman whose belief in "clean fighting and honest soldiering" has served him since the Boer War. Crime drama directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth and Michael Madsen. Crime boss Joe Cabot and his son employ six criminals to carry out a jewellery heist.
